Privacy β for kids and parents
A plain-English version of our privacy promise, for families. The full legal policy is on the Privacy page.
For kids
Hello!
Welcome to Tanoshiibox. We make these games for you to have fun. Here is how we look after you while you play.
- We don't know who you are. You don't tell us your name. You don't sign in. You just play.
- Your progress lives on your own device. When you finish a game, your score and stickers are saved on your tablet, phone, or computer. They don't leave it.
- The ads are not about you. The little adverts you might see were not picked because of anything you did. They were picked because of the game you are playing.
- If anything feels wrong, ask a grown-up. If you see an advert that looks scary or grown-up, or if something on the site doesn't feel right, please close the tab and tell a parent or carer.
- You can stop any time. The games save your progress, so you can come back later. There's nothing to miss and nothing to worry about.
Thank you for playing. π±πΆππ
For parents and carers
We designed Tanoshiibox with under-13s specifically in mind. The key points:
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no payments. Your child cannot share personal information with us because we do not have any field that asks for it.
- No behavioural tracking. We do not use analytics tools (no Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, nothing similar). We use Google AdSense configured to show contextual, non-personalised adverts only. Adverts are chosen by the subject of the page, not by anything learned about your child.
- No third-party scripts other than AdSense.
- Game progress is kept in your browser's local storage on the child's device. You can clear it at any time from the browser's settings.
- Server logs (IP address, user agent, referring page) are kept for at most 30 days, for security and debugging, and are never combined with advertising data.
- Your rights under UK/EU GDPR, COPPA, and CCPA are described in full on the Privacy Policy page. Because we do not hold personal information, most rights are trivially satisfied β but you can still ask, and we will respond.
If a child has typed any personal information into a field we add in the future (for example, a future feedback form), please contact us at privacy@tanoshiibox.com and we will delete it.
Things we suggest
- Use the browser's parental-controls or kid-mode features if you want to restrict which sites are reachable.
- If your child sees an advert you would like us to look at, forward details (the page, rough time, what the advert said) to feedback@tanoshiibox.com. Contextual ads sometimes slip through that we would prefer to block at the network level, and your feedback helps.
- Periodically clearing the games' local-storage can be a way to "reset" a child's game collection as a treat.
